Course Description
This course is designed for personnel
such as Police, Firefighters DPW employees, EMSHealth Officials and others who may come in contact
with Bloodborne Pathogens. We will review the PPE required if
caring for someone who is bleeding. We will review the types
of Bloodborne Pathogens, Airborne Pathogens, and the new TB
standard. We will discuss how Blood and Airborne Pathogens can
enter the body and how various organs can be affected if
exposed. We will also review the importance of required
immunizations for increased protection from blood and body
fluids.
Instruction commences promptly at
9:30 am. and concludes by 12:50 pm.
Lunch is from12:50-1:30 pm.
